Bawdsey Hall was originally built in the 18thcentury as a hunting lodge for the Tollemache family. The hall is situated on the peninsula between the River Deben and the North Sea coast with gardens overlooking the fields and marshland stretching down to the river on one side, and towards the red crag cliffs and shingle of the famous heritage coast, on the other.
